Friends organize semi-annual sales of used books. These sales are very popular community events, making low-cost reading available to everyone, as well as raising funds for special library projects. Recent purchases include large print books and furniture for the Hamilton Branch.
This year Friends will be adding children's books to the Mini Book Sales, in past years only current adult fiction was for sale.
Each Richmond Public Library branch also has an ongoing in-house booksale.
