Children of all ages are invited to join Richmond Public Library’s free Summer Reading Club! Starting June 20, come in to any Richmond Public Library branch to pick up your reading booklet.  Then, record your reading progress to earn weekly stickers and a medal at the end of the summer.  Special programs and events are happening throughout the summer at all four library branches, too! Adults and teens – from June 27 to August 31, join in the One Book, Three Cities community reading project, with the City of Richmond’s Sister City Advisory Committee. This year, the community will read and talk about Life of Pi by Canadian author Yann Martel. Everyone is invited to the launch on Thursday, July 4. Pick up a copy in-branch or download the eBook – digital copies are available all summer long. Participate in programs and activities including Meet Yann Martel! on Thursday, August 1 and the Slice of Pi contest in August for a chance to win fabulous book prizes. Plus, enjoy connecting with other readers from Xiamen and Qingdao, China on the One Book, Three Cities online discussion forum.
