Creation Stations

Come by the Launchpad and learn how you can digitize and convert your cassettes, VHS and records into digital collections using the Launchpad digitization equipment. Preserve and back up memories to digital formats making them easy to share and edit. Learn how to use the Digitization Station through our online tutorial for Audio Cassettes and LP Records and VHS. Use our Creation Stations to edit your digital files. Use of the Digitization Station is on a drop in basis, permissible by staff. Please speak to a staff member for equipment and access to the computers.

Cricut Maker 3 machines can cut, score and draw using a wide variety of materials, such as cardstock, light fabrics, and vinyl.

Cricut tool kits for use with the machines include: Fine Point Blade Kit Fabric Rotary Blade Kit Cricut Pens Draw Kit.

Use of the Cricut machines are on a drop in basis, permissible by staff upon completion of the online certification tutorial and your free Richmond Public Library card.

The Launchpad Classroom can be turned into a green screen studio. This is a 12foot green screen that reaches the floor. Great for above ground video and photos. Individuals as well as educators with groups are welcome to book the green screen for use. Please note 1-on-1 appointments are required to access the Green Screen and you’ll need to bring your own camera and recording devices.
